Trail Verbier St-Bernard by UTMB brings runners into some of the most spectacular mountain landscapes in the Valais, with demanding courses crossing the high alpine terrain around Verbier and the Val de Bagnes.

For the 2026 edition, we focused our coverage on the Verbier Marathon and X-Traversée, heading into the higher sections of both courses to photograph some of the leading athletes in their natural environment. From exposed alpine trails to dramatic mountain backdrops, the aim was to capture the intensity of racing while keeping the landscape at the centre of the story.
